Greetings from the heart of "sunny" Birmingham (we so wish!)
I am divorced - have two grown up children - one studying a Masters degree in astro physics at Aberystwyth University and the other an aerospace engineer with a passion for death metal!
I am involved with the pagan community in and around Birmingham, attending local moots and taking part in open rituals (one coming up very soon in a very open public park - the battle between the Oak King and the Holly King - the climax being rolling a very large wooden sunwheel down a very steep hill (they won't allow us to set fire to it ... shame )
I very much look forward to future discussions on this forum. Stay safe Karen

Hi Karen, hey the weather didn't seem so bad for a while today. You must be very proud of your kids.

Which group is that hun? I don't think I recognize that one. It's not the PA. Is it the 'bards of the lost forest' i.e. bryn etc, druid lot? Both groups seem to love doing rituals where anyone could see and mock. The druid lot slightly less so.

No its not really the PA, its a few of us from the GW moot. Well I say a few of us - there's five of us, promises to be an afternoon of fun and frolics LOL! I didn't know I was to be taking part until I was presented with my script on Tuesday! I believe they are opening up the invitations to the ritual and picnic to the PA - I just hope it isn't a very busy day in the park (but maybe no one will recognise me under my very flowery garland

Where did the group get the sunwheel thing? Did they make it? Derek from the GW moot is ok, he doesn't have a malicious bone in his body.

Is there some kind of, 'Health and Safety' implications to rolling a large lump of timber down a hill? lol

I'm sure they have that covered, but I wouldn't like to be the one catching it at the bottom!
