Hello! My name is Lisa and I live on Long Island in New York. I lived in Scotland for a couple of years, when I was a child.
I have a beautiful Rag-doll kitty, Princess. She was gifted to me as a kitten two years ago, at only 8 weeks old then and is absolutely my Familiar.
She came to me just one week after the funeral of my only child, my son, Cameron, who was just 17 when he was taken to the Heavens. I found him on the morning of May 8, 2005. It was Mother's Day and has left such a huge hole in my soul where the blessing of his life had lived for the short time God shared him with me.
It is the light of his incredibly, beautiful spirit that has kept me going this far and continues to brighten, what would otherwise be, the darkest of days, which I don't suppose will ever disappear entirely.
Writing, painting, music (all shapes and sizes!), photography and roses, are my thing. I've also collected Angels and Madonnas, (the mother/child kind, not the "Like A Virgin" kind) for as long as I can remember. Although I am disabled now, my life's work will be in outreach, helping our youth and families in crisis, and doing so in honor and loving memory, of my Cameron, keeping his spirit and name alive and with me always.
I do look forward to getting to know other members, sharing mutual interests/creations, and would like to thank you for the encouragement to introduce ones self. It has been my experience that it is indeed, a wee nudge that is almost always the necessary catalyst to get an introduction started, so thanks again and well done!
I look forward to this journey, almost as much as I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you again. Have a most wonderful day, be well and blessings. Angelisa
