Lesson 5 Getting creative
This is both the lesson and the assignment. You can make both or just one it is up to you.
A Kitchen Witch is for luck and will watch over what you do in the kitchen
You will find a lot of sites include the Kitchen Witch and she comes in all shapes and sizes.
She can be riding a besom or an egg whisk, she can be holding a pastry brush, a wooden spoon, a wooden spatula or a small egg whisk whatever you want her to have is fine. If you can find one she could even hold a tiny rolling pin. This is something fun to do after all the hard work you have done.
Here are a few sites to give you some inspiration.

You can also make one out of wooden clothes pegs. Here is a site that gives the basics of making a Dolly Peg doll add a conical hat and a besom and you have a tiny Kitchen Witch. Add some ribbon at the back so she can be hung up in the kitchen. Wool works well for hair. You can get small kitchen tools that go on cards as embelishments or even dolls house items for her to hold.

Element Bottle
This is something I came up with for myself I have not seen or heard of one before they may be around I just have not found any before.
I though those of you who are working with the Elements and Elementals would like it as well. It is there for you top focus on and act as a reminder that the elements are working with you.
You will need:
A small jar an empty herb bottle is fine that is what I used.
For the Elements:
Earth = Stones
Air = Caraway seeds or Lavender or Parsley or Marjoram or Mint
Fire = Basil or Coriander, or Dill, or Bay leaves.
Water = Chamomile
All you do is layer the herbs and stones until the jar is full if you cannot find Chamomile use some Chamomile tea bags. Now consecrate it for its purpose and you have your Element Jar.
Here is a site about how to consecrate your tools for those who may not know how to do this.

Meet my Kitchen Witches
Gretchen
She is made from an aerosol doll you can get them in some craft shops they are the tops of aerosol cans heads only no body. I knitted her clothing and she stands on a doll stand none of our aerosol cans fit her as she is for American cans. She is holding a pastry brush besom.
Dot
I found her on holiday and just had to have her she is flying her besom and hangs on my wooden spoon so she looks as if she is really flying.
Madge
A friend sent her to me as part of my birthday present they all sit on top of my fridge freezer overlooking what I do in the kitchen.
