Use of: Numbers and Symbols in cooking and preparation
Use of Aroma.
This lesson is all about adding that little extra to the food you prepare and to the home.
I want you to close your eyes and thing about Thanksgiving or Christmas at home. What is the first thing you notice as you enter the home? Is it the aroma of food cooking? Next think about the feeling of the home. Warm, safe and full of love. How much of this is due to preparation of food and the thought that gone behind making the home a welcoming place?
You don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving or Christmas you can create an ambiance anytime by the use of aroma. This can be the food itself or by using incense or oils.
Numbers are also used to add meaning to dishes as can symbols. Below is a list that will give you a few ideas of how you can add extra meaning to a dish.

There are a wealth of symbols that can be used for all manner of things. Some symbols are connected with a certain tradition others are universal. Go with the symbols you feel are right. Here are some to start you off.
Using the number chart you can stir clockwise to add what you need to a dish e.g.
For energy: use an 8 inch cake tin, make or use 8 bread rolls, cut the vegetable or fruit into 8 pieces, stir 8 times.
With the colour chart you can add meaning to a meal you can also cut a small pentacle into the vegetable. Potatoes are good for doing this and if making mashed potato the symbol will be distributed throughout the dish.
