One of my pet projects is trying to locate missing people. Though it may seem a bit morbid, I've spent a lot of time trying to match missing people with unidentified John and Jane Does. All of these people are somebody's loved one. Somebody somewhere is missing them. Take a look if you will at a one of my pet cases. I'll be posting more of them later. I know the chances of someone here recognizing them is as slim as any, but every look helps. Normally, I use one site for such things, but it's moving servers at the moment. So, here is Jason Doe. We call him Jason because he had a note addressed to Jason in his pocket when he died. Jason was killed in a car accident after a Grateful Dead show in 1995. He died in Virginia, but he could have been from anywhere. The site I'm posting isn't the best one for info about him, but like I said, the one I use is in server limbo. www.geocities.com/trying2id/JDpage.html

how sad I'm afraid I don't recognise him. I wish them all the best in their search.

Here's my second one. This little girl went missing in 1973 from California. Her name is Anna Christian Waters. Her mother has never stopped searching for her. SHe was only 5 when she vanished from her yard. Anna's mom believes very much that her little girl is still alive somewhere, I tend to agree. The case is fascinating and heart-breaking. www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/waters_anna.htmlHere is a link to another site where the case is being discussed: www.websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=104

I do not recognise her but then living in England that is not surprising I suppose. This gives me the creeps as I was abducted at the age of 4 years and thankfully found by my Father, this is something every parent dreads it is the unspoken fear.

It certainly is one thing every parent dreads. I know if my daughter disappeared, I'd spend every waking moment of the rest of my life looking for her.
I have some European cases I'm going to post a bit later. I'm going through some sites to find info on some ladies who disappeared in Ireland. Most, if not all of them, were British women on holiday. I'll see what I can dig up.
