Hmm very interesting. Of course academics will not agree after all anything that upsets their veiw of things is seen to be a bit fanciful or off the wall. They will now spend years debating this and will end up deciding what they say is right no matter what may be found.
I love Sunstones I have one myself.

Polarized light looks like 'dark strips' of light or 'blobs' of darker light. Look at the car in this picture, it shows one example.
