Like we need more rain, thanks guys. The only comfort being most of the pagans I've met couldn't evoke a pizza via phone, let alone do real magick. Have to admit, they do wear very jazzy robes tho ;D Anyway, what's made me have these musings? It was this story on the BBC news site news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/6901543.stm Once again the pagan fed prove what intelligent bright sparks are running it. My view: Get a life guys. Yeah, I know that sounds, 'agro' but that kind of stupid media whoring really winds me up. I also think if the PF spokesperson knew a bit of the history of Cerne Abbas they wouldn't be so 'steamed up' about a wash away Homer Simpson

This is not just media whoring either, it's this sort of lame sad anality that truly makes paganism even more an object of derision to most people. Still, their comments here will just provide most non-pagan people with a much-needed laugh

All they had to say was, 'it's a bit silly', and left it at that. I bet most 'normal' pagans feel embarrassed by what 'spokespeople' come out with. If I was the head cheese at the PF I would have organised a Cerne Abbas giant painting on Simpson's 'the move2' posters, -that- would have been funny and Erisian.

We have some people in the flat above us who seem to do a war dance and chant a lot maybe they have caused all this rain LOL. Seriously though they do chant and stomp around I have no idea what they are doing but it is noisy whatever it is. They are African and practice their own religion which is fine I just wish it was a bit quiter thats all.
The pagan reps I have seen on TV do not do lot for the rest of us they do look a little odd from what I have seen of them. I know I am no oil painting but they really do not do a lot for me.

I'd try to engage them in conversation to try and find out what they're 'into'. Unless they seemed very unfriendly.

Hmmm.... after Friday maybe I was wrong. But if I was one of the pagans who did the rain ritual I'd be keeping my head down waiting for the Three Fold Return. Considering the chaos caused, that returns' gonna be a big one.

I order to counter this I did a 'nice weather' ritual a few days ago (as K will confirm) and it seems to be working well so far.
I don't normally attempt weather magicks due to the dubious possibilities of the outcomes, as the pagans found out when they announced a rain rite, which could be implicated in the deaths of several people.
Playing at magick as those pagans did indicates some very basic errors in theory and practice, makes me think they are neophytes on the Ritual Path, in need of some real training.

More worthy of mockery than fear I think Yes your magicks hit the spot IMHO. I'm very grateful. Well, I did ask you to make the sun shine to cheer me up lol
